1. Tourist visa – short-term stay (up to 3 months)


If you are planning a stay of less than 3 months, you can enter Egypt on a tourist visa:

Can be obtained directly at the airport upon arrival (Visa on Arrival) - valid for 30 days.
Can be extended for up to 3 months at the local immigration office.
Visa fee: USD 25 (single entry) or USD 60 (multiple entry visa).
Suitable for short-term stay, real estate market research, vacation.


2. Residence permit for property owners


The easiest way to obtain long-term residency in Egypt is to own property.

If you own property in Egypt, you can obtain a residence permit for 1 year (renewable).
The minimum property value should be at least $100,000 for a longer permit (sometimes less is accepted).
The permit can be extended every year without complicated formalities.
Suitable for real estate investors, long-term overwintering.


3. Retirement Visa


If you are a pensioner, you can apply for a long-term residence permit if you meet the following conditions:

Proof of stable income (usually at least $1,500/month).
Valid health insurance.
Possibility to obtain a visa for 1-5 years with the possibility of extension.
Suitable for Czech retirees who want to live permanently in Egypt.


4. Work Permit – Non-Immigrant Visa


If you plan to work in Egypt, you will need a work visa:

The application is submitted by the employer in Egypt.
The permit is issued by the Egyptian Immigration Service.
It is valid for 1 year with the possibility of extension.
Need for an employment contract and permission from the Egyptian Ministry of Labor.

5. Family visa (Family Visa)
