Sveti Vlas is situated in the best location on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast - at the foot of the Balkan slopes that gradually descend into the crystal clear waters of the vast Black Sea. This favourable combination means many sunny days (average 260 per year), cool afternoons, clean air and ideal conditions for the treatment of upper respiratory diseases.

In addition to the ideal climate, being close to the Mediterranean, Sveti Vlas has an interesting history. Around 1800 years ago, it was the site of luxurious marinas and holiday complexes instead of a Thracian sanctuary. At that time the town was named Larissa and it was not until the 14th century that it adopted the name of Sveti Vlas, the patron saint of merchants.

The beach of the resort is 1.5 km long and averages 16 m. There are three beautiful beaches with fine golden sand, which according to the European Commission are among the cleanest for swimming in Bulgaria.

If you are looking for a party, Sunny Beach is just a few minutes away by car, and if you want to see the sights, the unique town of Nessebar and its historical and cultural heritage are 10 km away. In 2007, the largest yacht marina in Bulgaria - Marina Dinevi with a capacity of 300 yachts - was opened in Sveti Vlas.

There are also interesting events here - every year in mid-July there is a sailing regatta "St. Vlas" and in August a super skipper rally under the same name.

Sveti Vlas is a European city that fascinates in all seasons. Autumn is very soft and warm, spring inspires with the beauty of the blooming vegetation and in winter the snowy slopes of Stara Planina immerse you in a snowy fairy tale.
