Bansko is a picturesque town known for its history, situated at the foot of the Pirin Mountains. The town is located 927 meters above sea level, in the valley where three mountains - Pirin, Rodopi and Rila - meet.
On one side - Rodopi, on the other side - Rila with the highest peak on the Balkan Peninsula - Musala (2925 m), and on the third - Pirin.
